Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson go on a camping trip, set up their tent and fall asleep. Some hours later, Holmes wakes his faithful friend. "Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see." Watson replies, "I see millions of stars." "What does that tell you?" Watson ponders for a minute. "Astronomically speaking, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, it's evidence the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. Why, what does it tell you?" Holmes is silent for a moment, and then speaks. "Watson, you idiot, someone has stolen our tent."
...Puts a new meaning to "No shit, Sherlock" doesn't it? :-)
Anyways, it's Sunday, and my mommy is finally back in town. For those of you in the know, my parental unit left omaha to spend Chinese New Year back in good ol' Taiwan. I didn' get to go cuz of the whole school business, it was a shame but i got the house to myself for a good month. W00t. I didn't tell many because i didn't want to deal with a common phenomenon known as "Party at Dave's." If you were not told that I had the house to myself, dont feel offended because it was nothing personal. That said, it was the best 30 days i've ever spent in my life. Kinda like having college now, except i had a house. ^_^ On a sadder note, my grandmother passed away while my mom was back in Taiwan. That's why i've been kinda "meh" lately. We were never really that close since i live here, but it's still quite a bummer. In any case, i picked her up late last night. She had a pretty decent flight so i was happy. She was muy impressed by the cleanliness of the household, so i scored brownie points (i skipped going to a movie with Allie / Ann / Layne to clean...yea i know, but it was worth it). In any case, I do have a concert coming up Sunday February 16th. THATS NEXT SUNDAY. You should really come and support Erica Overmeyer and myself. We were the concerto competition winners. (The only year that both winners for the symphony and maestro awards are from Millard North!). In any case, it's sunday night and you should come, even if you have other things to do because this is more important than that. If you know for sure you want to score brownie points with me by coming, i have a few free tickets to give out. ONLY IF YOU'RE COMING. If you ask me for a ticket and not come I will eat your children...and their children, and so forth. Anyhow, i'm looking foward to the long weekend, it shall be nice. Btw, i am currently looking for fun plans for Valentines Day. Being single means I dont have someone special to do things with. Bummer, but I'll survive. In any case. I got a new computer. It's a mac. For those of you that dont like macs, sorry but you'll just have to deal because i'm blogging on the mac. I happen to like both Wintel and Mac systems, especially since i got a kick ass deal on this machine. This machine costs about $1700 brand new with 256mb of memory retail / online. I got it for $1400 with 1GB of memory. that's right kids, i can run entire cds in my memory. That's quadruple the memory than the reatil model. Roxor. Also, it's a dual processor beast. All of my applications open in less than two seconds. It really is fast. Here are the specs for you crazy l3375 out there:

In any case, I'll prolly sell it for profit or something, but meanwhile i will enjoy it a lot. I'm gonna go play Warcraft III now. (i can run it in a window and Instant Messenger at the same time, that's how much RAM i have. It's not about how much you need, it's about how much in excess you can own ^_^) So enjoy your night and i'll enjoy mine. Peace.
