So I realized that I haven't posted in a while. Yes, that was a gross understatement, but you have to realize one thing. I am lazy. And it's the summer! do you really expect me to camp by the comp and blog every thought? I didn't think so. In any case, without further delay, shall be today's JOTB and the wonderful entry:
A man who had spent his whole life in the desert went to visit a friend. He'd never seen a train or the tracks they run on. While standing in the middle of the railroad tracks, he heard a whistle, but didn't know what it was. Predictably, he was hit and thrown to the side of the tracks, with some internal injuries, a few broken bones, and some bruises. After months in the hospital recovering, he was at his friend's house attending a party. While in the kitchen, he suddenly heard the teakettle whistling. He grabbed a baseball bat from the nearby closet and bashed the teakettle into an unrecognizable lump of metal. His friend, hearing the ruckus, rushed into the kitchen, saw what had happened, and asked the man, "Why'd you ruin my good teakettle?" The desert man replied, "Man, you got to kill these things while they're small."
...All this new traffic in town cuz of the CWS reminded of the term "redneck country" for some reason and i thought this joke was appropriate. As always, if you dont find it funny, you can go elsewhere and find other forms of entertainment, jerk ;)
In any case, a lot of stuff has happened lately...first of all, I have gave up on blogging the rest of the California Trip, those of you said that I was too lazy to finish it...you're right. damn. I hate it when that happens, so go ahead and rub it in my face. Another note in my life: I am now a gradumacated man! That's right, kids, David has defeated Millard North, and now he's readying to get owned at Carnegie Mellon University. The date I am scheduled to leave omaha I do believe is August 16th, so if you want to hang out with me, you have until then. I will definitely be here all summer, aside a few mini-roadtrips planned. Also, I will visit back as much as I can, Xmas and summers for sure, and I'll try for thanksgiving to hook up with those of you who are special. In all cases, these past coupla days have rocked. I was out last weekend at Panora, IA, (that isn't part of what i consider "Stupid Iowa," sorry to those of you that thought of that instantly) at a lakehouse chillin' with some friends. There was much water fun, including jetskiing, tubing, and much assorted activities! I also caught a big Carp (estimated around 18 pounds). It rocked much. Anyways, I went to the Opening Ceremony last night at Rosenblatt for the College World Series, and it owned. Free concert by Smash Mouth, whom to much credit, put on a great show despite the free-ness of it. The fireworks were brilliant and beautiful, and I was most certainly ON THE JUMBOTRON!!! (To my dismay, Allie, Katie, and Mike didn't see us...tools.) Ended up burning only 2 dollars to my name, and good times were had by all. I love free fun things! Today got called at like 12:45... 15mins before game time for Stanford vs. S. Carolina, and headed out there to catch a free game, courtesy of Mike's 'rents, again, i love free fun things, and good time was had by all. Not bad for the past coupla days! In all fairness, I'm going to hit the hay soon due to the mad fun i've been enjoying. Peace.
a few sprinkles of genius with a chance of doom.
