Due to the fact that I am now at college, today's JOTB will be fitting to a lot of what i've been seeing...
A man walks into the front door of a bar. He is obviously drunk and staggers up to the bar, seats himself on a stool and, with a belch, asks the bartender for a drink. The bartender politely informs the man that it appears he has already had plenty to drink and that he could not be served additional liquor. The bartender offers to call him a cab. The drunk is briefly surprised, then softly scoffs, grumbles, climbs down from the barstool, and staggers out the front door. A few minutes later, the same drunk stumbles in the side door of the bar. He wobbles up to the bar and hollers for a drink. The bartender comes over and -- still politely if not more firmly -- refuses service to the man and again offers to call a cab. The drunk looks at the bartender angrily for a moment, curses, and shows himself out the side door, all the while grumbling and shaking his head. A few minutes later, the same drunk bursts in through the back door of the bar. He plops himself up on a barstool, gathers his wits, and belligerently orders a drink. The bartender comes over and emphatically reminds the man that he is drunk and will be served no drinks. He then tells him that he will either call a cab or the police immediately. The surprised drunk looks at the bartender and in hopeless anguish cries, "Man! How many bars do you work at?"
...You people think that's funny, but yes, people DO get that wasted off their asses.
Well, I've been in school for a coupla weeks now so here's the update:
Went to a baseball game today, it was the (pitiful excuse for a baseball team) Pittsburgh Pirates against the Chicago Cubs. I'm sure most of you decided that the pirates, or "Bucs" as we call 'em here, would be smeared across field. I mean, seriously, NOBODY deserves to lose to the Pirates. But the Cubs somehow managed it... 8-2. That's right, the Pirates actually scored 5 runs in one inning, a total embarassment for Chicago. Anyhow, i'm scheduled to see the Chili Peppers on monday night (for all of $21 that was to my name...) so i'm definitely psyched about that. In general, life is good, although i have certainly done more work than I have in high school combined. Which really isn't saying much, but I was up til Wednesday night till about 3:30am doing calc problem sets. Anyways, I digress. For all of you that actually cared about me and asked about Hurricane Isabel, thanks and I <3 you all :) and maybe you would be happy to find out that there's a possibility i am coming home October 16-19 for a short midsemester break ^_^ anyways, I think i'm out like the fat kid in dodge ball for now :)
a few sprinkles of genius with a chance of doom.
